A few months ago, I bought a Seagate 250GB External Free Agent Go disc. Seems to be a very hard, but I noticed he always keeps spinning, even if I put it to sleep after 5 minutes of non use Seagate Manager. I am primarily using it on two laptops – one with XP Pro 32 bit and the other uses win 7 Home Premium 64bit. He does sleep on the new 64-bit laptop, but not the former. Any ideas on how to correct? Perhaps There is a problem of comparability with Windows XP, a lot of software these days does not work properly with Windows XP. Visit the website to see if Seagate XP version of the same software.
